We’re excited to announce the new Advanced Groups feature in Invent, designed to give you greater flexibility and control over your designs. Here's what you can do with Advanced Groups:

Updating Infigo Invent to the Latest Version
Whilst this isn't a brand new feature, I strongly suspect it isn't widely known. In the short guide below, we show you how to update your version of the Infigo Invent plugin from within the InDesign application. This eliminates the need to download files from our Help Centre.
Improved Mobile Editing Interface for Invent Products
We have optimized the mobile editing experience for Invent products on the Megaedit platform. By adjusting CSS properties specifically for narrower screens, we ensure that editing controls are relocated below the canvas. This change allows users to see their edits in real time without the interface obstructing the canvas, enhancing usability and efficiency when editing on mobile devices.
Optimized Access Permission Synchronization for Enhanced Performance
We've refined the synchronization process for access permissions across platforms, significantly reducing wait times for changes to take effect. By optimizing the logic within our access permission interceptor and adjusting data handling methods, we've minimized unnecessary data conversions and streamlined the process to avoid duplicative work. These improvements ensure faster and more efficient access rule updates, enhancing overall system responsiveness.
Improved Search Engine Handling for MegaEdit Editor Links
To optimize search engine interactions and prevent unnecessary bot traffic, we've implemented strategic updates to bot management across our platform. These enhancements disallow specific MegaEdit endpoints.
Additionally, we've updated our browser crawler settings and search engine whitelists to better control which pages and links are accessible to search engines, reducing unneeded system calls and enhancing platform performance.
Connect: CERM Enhancements
We've continuing to develop our recently introduced Connect: CERM integration. Let's take a look at some of these new enhancements.
Seamless Integration of External IDs for Tax Management between CERM and Avatax
To enhance tax management, we've developed a MegaScript that synchronizes customer IDs between CERM and Avatax, ensuring consistent External IDs across systems. This automation triggers when customers are added or updated, copying the CERM external ID to the Avatax External ID field. This improvement aids in accurate tax exemption handling and streamlines the tax estimation process by integrating crucial identifiers seamlessly.
Improved Parcel Management for Versioned Products in CERM and EasyPost
We have updated our system to better handle the shipment of multi-part products with versioning by grouping them under a single parcel identifier, rather than treating each version as a separate parcel. This change simplifies the logistics process for products that have multiple versions but are considered a single item for shipping purposes.
Configurable CERM Calculation Cloning for Enhanced Performance
We've introduced a new feature within the Connect: CERM settings that allows for configurable cloning of product calculations. This setting lets users specify whether to clone the calculation at the 'Landing Page' stage or upon 'Placing an Order', providing flexibility and preventing unnecessary data duplication. This update aims to streamline the price calculation process by adapting it to the specific needs of each customer, thereby optimizing performance and resource use.

Error Investigation Feature in the MegaEdit Editor
We've introduced an 'Error Debugging' option in the MegaEdit Editor menu to streamline troubleshooting of output errors. This feature allows administrators to identify and navigate directly to erroneous fields by entering the field's ID, facilitating faster corrections and enhancing overall system reliability. This tool is especially useful for debugging output creation failures, improving admin efficiency in managing content.
Enhanced Render Mode Options for Text
Following a previous update, we've undertaken development to always display three elements in the Text Options popup render settings—two colour pickers and a stroke width selector. These elements now dynamically enable or disable based on selected render modes: 'Normal', 'Outline Only', and 'Outline & Fill'.
To use this feature, ensure "Show Render Mode" is enabled in a field's Display Settings. Then, you will be able to access the render options within the field's "Text Options" tab.
Optimized Multi-Page PDF Handling in MegaEdit
We've enhanced the handling of multi-page PDFs in MegaEdit albums to improve performance. A new setting allows the system to load only the media items actively used in the current job session. This update prevents the unnecessary loading and caching of all media album items, significantly reducing initial load times and ensuring images are correctly displayed. This enhancement provides a smoother and more efficient experience, particularly for users with large media albums.
Enhanced Email Delivery Tracking in Message Queue
We've implemented key improvements to email handling within our system to ensure robust tracking and error reporting. Changes include a new 'Comments' property in the Message Queue for detailed error messages, and a checkbox in advanced search for filtering messages with comments. This update allows for better visibility and understanding of email delivery issues, ensuring issues like missing recipients or SMTP errors are clearly communicated and managed.
