Megascript Documentation

We're thrilled to announce the release of comprehensive type definitions and documentation for the Megascript interface. This significant update empowers our customers to tackle writing their own Megascripts for the first time, making our platform more accessible and user-friendly. With this new resource, users can now fully leverage the capabilities of Megascript, enhancing their experience and maximizing the value of the Infigo product. Explore the documentation here: Megascript Documentation.

Stripe Plugin Update: Enhanced Payment Capture Flexibility

We've updated our Stripe integration to provide more control over payment authorization and capture processes. With this update, the Stripe plugin now supports a new "capture mode" setting within our Stripe integration, that allows payments to be authorized manually rather than automatically.

This option can be found in: Payment Methods > Stripe > Configure > Capture Mode

The Capture mode option allows you to select when the payment will be captured.

  • If Manually is selected, the payment will be authorized and can be captured from the admin pages.
  • If On Checkout is selected, the payment will be authorized and then captured in checkout after the order has been created.
  • If On Shipped is selected, the payment will be captured when the order is shipped, however keep in mind that the default stripe authorization expiration date is 7 days, and authorizations that are not captured before that expiration are invalid.

All of these capture modes work in the same way; first the payment is authorized, then the order is placed and then the payment is captured. The capture method in stripe is manual, which means that the payment capture will be triggered manually.

This feature gives you the flexibility to authorize a payment at checkout and capture it later, ensuring better alignment with order processing workflows. The plugin also now supports voiding payments via Stripe's API and handles failed payment scenarios more gracefully, including automatically notifying store owners of issues. This enhancement ensures a more robust and customizable payment processing experience for your storefront.

Extended "Upload Artwork Later" Capabilities for Versioned Products

We have extended the capabilities of our "upload artwork later" feature to now function with versioned multi-part products.  Now, when configuring a versioned product, you can select "Upload now" or "Upload later" through a dropdown menu available on both the main landing page screen and on the artwork upload screen.

This feature enhances flexibility by enabling customers to add products to their cart without immediate artwork uploads, which can be finalized at a later date. It ensures smoother order processing for complex, versioned products.

Information on versioned products and later artwork upload can be found on the Infigo Academy, simply click on the images below.

Enhanced Support for Download Products in Excel Import/Export

We’ve expanded our Excel product import/export functionality to fully support download products. This update includes the addition of new columns such as DownloadUrl, DownloadAsset, DownloadType, and others, allowing you to manage download-related information directly through Infigo's batch tools.

These enhancements make it easier to manage download products, ensuring all relevant data is accurately handled during import/export operations.

Infigo Sync Linux Support

We're excited to announce that Infigo Sync now supports Linux. This enhancement expands our platform's versatility, allowing it to operate seamlessly on Windows, Linux, and Docker. We’re also planning to extend this support to MacOS soon.

This is a significant, showcasing our commitment to accessibility and flexibility.

Sync for Shopping Cart Data in Insights Pro

We’ve introduced a new feature that allows Insights Pro users to sync shopping cart data with Metabase, enabling detailed reporting on abandoned carts and other cart-related metrics.

This feature introduces a platform setting, “Sync Shopping Cart Data,” which can be enabled to automatically sync shopping cart attributes and details to Metabase. Additionally, a “Clean Sync” button has been added to allow users to initiate a fresh sync of all shopping cart data.

Find these settings in: Other Plugins > Reporting > Configure > Global Configuration > Sync Shopping Cart Data

This update ensures that you have access to up-to-date data for more accurate reporting and analysis of customer shopping behaviour.

Improved Error Messaging for Tharstern Integration

We’ve enhanced the error handling for Tharstern live pricing integration to provide clearer guidance when issues arise.

Now, if there is an issue with authentication or a product is incorrectly configured, users will see a more informative message. For storefront admins, the message will include specific details about the error, whereas for general users, a standard message will advise them to contact the storefront admin.

Easypost Plugin Update for Enhanced Shipping Compliance

We've updated our Easypost plugin to support enhanced shipping requirements. Whilst this has primarily been developed for Northern Ireland, it is also more widely applicable.

This update includes the ability to configure detailed customs information at a product level, including content type, content explanation, and HS tariff numbers. These details can now be customized for each product , ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.

Define this information on a per-product basis using the Connect Link icon when on a product's Product Variant options.

Additionally, Northern Ireland has been added as a new country with specific states, and we’ve improved the handling of customs data in Easypost to ensure all necessary information is accurately transmitted. These enhancements will help businesses seamlessly comply with new shipping requirements while maintaining efficient order processing.
